Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
